CHILDREN'S HOSPICE WALKABOUT LIMITED

A company limited by guarantee with Rotarians as Trustees and the Trustees and Directors will always be Rotarians.

The ‘It’s Childsplay’ walkabout is an event devised by Rotarians of the Rotary Club of Taunton Vale to raise funds for the purposes of Children's Hospice Walkabout Limited.

The event is to be run on an annual basis at various locations around the country and the event at each location is to organised by local Rotary Clubs with the help of other service club organisations.

The funds raised for the company will be used

1. To assist Children's Hospices nominated by the organising Rotary Clubs with their annual running costs

2. To provide assistance to the families of life limited children by

  • Helping, advising and introducing the family to a suitable Children's Hospice
  • Obtaining advice on and, where necessary, assisting with the purchase of specialized equipment required in the care of the life limited child at home
  • Providing, where needed, the necessary transport to a Children's Hospice for respite care.
  • Where necessary helping and advising families who need to obtain home support
  • To arrange for suitably qualified Rotarians, or others if necessary, to assist a-family with any other unquantified needs which will lead to an easing of their burden.
  • It is to be stressed that help, guidance and assistance is given to the families of life limited children and not directly to the children themselves.

3. The Trustees will have the widest possible discretion to provide help to the families of life limited children.

Children's Hospice Walkabout Limited and the event, ‘It’s Childsplay’ are organisations organised by Rotarians and adopt the same high ethical standards as the International Rotary Organisation.
